Ethics & AI Policy

Make the book inviting without making up the book.
Editorial independence
LitFever selects passages for their connection to a book and its readers. Affiliate funding is disclosed and does not entitle a retailer, publisher or advertiser to a favourable opinion. Paid placements, review copies and other relevant material relationships should be identified alongside the affected recommendation.
AI-generated illustrations and narration
LitFever uses AI-assisted tools for research support, writing assistance, illustrated scenes and synthetic narration. Book quotations are checked against their source; they are not invented by AI. The website and videos identify AI-created elements where relevant.
Illustrated people and places may be imagined interpretations. They are not photographs of the author, proof of a historical event, or a claim that a real person participated. A synthetic voice is not the author's voice, an official audiobook performance or an endorsement by the person depicted. We do not present it as one.
Respect the work and the reader
Hooks may create curiosity, but must not fabricate a plot point or disguise commentary as a quotation. We retain the speaker's perspective and explain context where a short extract could mislead. Artwork should fit the genre and the meaning of the passage. We do not invent personal reading experiences, reader testimonials, sales figures or popularity claims.
Sensitive material
Books can address difficult subjects. Our promotional selections avoid explicit sexual imagery, graphic violence and glamorisation of harmful conduct. When difficult context is essential, we describe it carefully and check the intended platform's current rules. This is an editorial approach, not a claim that every book we discuss is appropriate for every age or reader.
Accountability
The editorial process retains source references, decisions and corrections. These records support review; they do not imply that an outside organisation has certified our content. Concerns about bias, misleading imagery or an undisclosed relationship can be sent to hello@litfever.com. See our Corrections Policy.
